The protesters were out at large today, dancing around DC to the rhythm of outrage and civic responsibility. I heard about the Granny Peace Brigade on Monday and instantly resolved to witness this component of the dance – among the many other options.
After a short lunch and a quick walk to Vermont & H streets, I spotted the aged protesters calmly knitting. I wandered over to say hello. I talked for five minutes and then took quite a few photos. When the majority of Americans choose to engage in political discourse as these old ladies have done, situations like Iraq will be less likely to occur.
