There’s Always A Rotten One

Parts of the world are now slowly relaxing the stay at home orders that were instituted to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus. Our state is sort of relaxing orders, but my crew needed to get out of the house, so we decided to go on a hike. I found this rotten tree stump on the trail. It looked interesting, and I’m sure it would tell a lot of stories if it could. Of course, when looking at this rotten tree stump in a black and white photo, it’s more difficult to quickly grasp what you’re viewing. It’s hard to tell what’s rotten if you don’t understand the context. I suppose this lends support to that phrase, “showing one’s true colors”.
