It began as a, “Oh yeah, I can do that too!” kind of project. And then, after 173 days of continuous blogging, the project evaporated into a cloudy sky of reality’s demands and human distractions. The silence rained heavily on this blog!
Meh, that’s life.
Regardless, despite not reaching my goal of 366 continuous days of publishing a photo accompanied by a blurb of scribbles, I’m glad I attempted the project. There are a couple reasons why it was worth the time and effort.
- I was motivated and inspired to take some absurd, creative photos. When you’re on the hunt for ideas, it changes how you look at the world.
- This project reminded me to take a little bit of time each day to slow down and reflect.
- The world is currently battling the Coronavirus. While I didn’t exclusively write about the coronavirus, I now have a record of my experience during these interesting times. For example, when I started this project, I didn’t think I’d go to a brewery while wearing a face mask, let alone piss in a urinal made out of a keg – while wearing a face mask.
So yep, I’d call it a successful project. And now I’m considering ideas for my next project.
